You must be at least 18 years old (or 21 where required by your jurisdiction) to use GravityTokens, and you must be physically located in an eligible jurisdiction. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements. We may require identity and age verification at any time and may suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements. Real-money features additionally require successful identity verification (KYC) as described in Section 11.
GravityTokens is a platform for competitive, skill-based video game contests and tournaments. Outcomes are determined by player skill, not by chance. When you stake credits on a match or pay an entry fee for a tournament, you are competing in a contest of skill in which you are a participant — you are not wagering on the outcome of a contest among others. GravityTokens is not a casino, sportsbook, or gambling operator, and does not offer games of chance. Where applicable law treats real-money skill contests differently, the geographic restrictions in Section 4 apply.
Reputation Points (RP) are a free, virtual ranking currency. RP has no monetary value, cannot be purchased, and cannot be exchanged for real currency, goods, or services. We may modify, reset, or remove RP balances at any time.
GravityTokens Credits are a closed-loop, U.S.-dollar-denominated balance used for paid tournaments and, where lawful, skill matches. Credits are redeemable for play on GravityTokens and may be withdrawn to you, subject to verification, holds, and fees. Credits are not a bank deposit, are not insured, do not earn interest, and are not legal tender. Credits have value only within the GravityTokens platform.
Real-money features (deposits, paid tournaments, skill wagers, and withdrawals) are not available to residents of, or persons located in, the following U.S. states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Wyoming. This list may change. We use your registered state and other signals (including IP-based location) to enforce these restrictions, and we may block, void, or refund activity that violates them. Free, virtual RP play remains available regardless of state.
RP and GravityTokens Credits are personal to your account. You may not sell, trade, gift, assign, or transfer RP or Credits to any other user or third party, and you may not buy, sell, or trade them on any external marketplace or exchange. Credits move only between you and GravityTokens (deposit, play, authorized withdrawal). Any attempt to create or use a secondary market for RP or Credits is a violation of these terms and may result in forfeiture and account termination.
Payments, deposits, and withdrawals are processed by our third-party payment partner (Dots, Inc.). By using wallet features you also agree to the payment processor's terms. We do not store your full payment credentials. Deposits are in U.S. dollars and subject to minimum and maximum limits and a maximum wallet balance. Withdrawals are subject to identity verification, applicable fees, and holding periods (including a dispute-resolution hold on recent winnings). We may delay, hold, or decline a transaction to investigate suspected fraud, collusion, money laundering, or violations of these terms. Complete operational details are in the Tournament & Wallet Terms, incorporated by reference.
Because game results are not reported by a third-party API, match outcomes are self-reported by both participants. For real-money matches you may be required to submit evidence (such as a screen recording or screenshots) and we strongly recommend recording all real-money matches. Where both reports agree, the result stands. Where reports conflict, the matter is resolved by our review of the submitted evidence, and our determination is final. Knowingly reporting false results, refusing to provide evidence, or manipulating outcomes is a violation of these terms.
You must not engage in collusion, match-fixing, "score-dumping," sandbagging, multi-accounting, use of cheats/aimbots/exploits, or any scheme to launder funds or extract value unfairly. We monitor for these patterns and may freeze balances, void results, withhold payouts, and suspend accounts. We may report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
You are solely responsible for any taxes on your winnings. For U.S. users, if your withdrawals reach $600 in a calendar year we will require a valid IRS Form W-9 before further withdrawals and will issue a Form 1099 as required by law. You agree to provide accurate tax information on request.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your credentials secure, do not share them, do not create multiple accounts, and do not transfer your account. If you believe your account is compromised, contact us immediately.
To withdraw real money you must complete identity verification through our verification partner, which may collect your legal name, date of birth, address, and government identification, and may perform sanctions/OFAC and other compliance checks. We may decline service, freeze funds, or close accounts where verification fails or where required by law.
You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant GravityTokens a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify, distribute, and create derivative works of your content solely to operate, promote, and improve the service, including the right to scan, analyze, and moderate content (including private content) using automated and manual tools. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups and copies retained for moderation or legal compliance.
You must not upload, share, transmit, or engage in any of the following, anywhere on the platform: child sexual abuse material (including AI-generated); non-consensual intimate images (including deepfakes); promotion of or threats of violence, terrorism, or self-harm; harassment, bullying, stalking, or doxxing; hate speech targeting protected characteristics; sexually explicit material; graphic violence or gore; intellectual-property infringement; promotion of illegal activity, drugs, or weapons; spam, scams, or phishing; impersonation; or promotion of cheating, hacking, or exploits. These rules apply to all content, including content marked private.
We may review, scan, flag, and remove any content at any time, including private content, using automated tools, AI/ML classifiers, perceptual hash matching (such as PhotoDNA), and human review. We are required by law to report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and may report other illegal content to law enforcement.
Users may report violations. Reported content may be hidden and reported accounts suspended pending review, prioritizing community safety. If suspended in error, contact support for review. Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation.
We maintain a process for reporting and removing non-consensual intimate images. Reports may be submitted at /ncii-report without an account. Upon a valid report we will remove the content as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours, and make reasonable efforts to remove identical copies.
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these terms. On termination your right to use the service ends. You may not create new accounts to evade a ban. Where your account holds withdrawable Credits and is in good standing, we will make remaining eligible balances available subject to verification and applicable law. We may retain data as required for legal, safety, or anti-abuse purposes.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRAVITYTOKENS AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO: (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) CONTENT POSTED BY OTHER USERS; (C) INTERACTIONS BETWEEN USERS; (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT; OR (E) MATCH OUTCOMES, RP, OR CREDIT BALANCES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU WITHDREW FROM YOUR WALLET IN THE PRECEDING 90 DAYS.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GravityTokens, its operators, affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these terms; (d) your violation of any third-party right; or (e) your interactions with other users.
We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, submit a takedown notice to our designated agent including: identification of the work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury, and your signature.
Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, not in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration against GravityTokens. This agreement survives termination. (Note: enforceability of arbitration and class-waiver provisions varies by jurisdiction — to be confirmed by counsel.)
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service and require re-acceptance before continued use. Non-material changes take effect on posting.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where superseded by mandatory provisions of your home jurisdiction. (Governing-law and venue selection to be confirmed by counsel.)
