Account Data: Email address, date of birth, username, avatar image, Epic Games username, Discord username. Collected during registration and profile setup through OAuth providers (Google, Discord) and user input.
Content: Video clips, full videos, chat messages (match chat, community chat, direct messages), match requests, wager data, and reactions you create on the platform.
Usage Data: Page views, clip views, IP addresses, browser user agent, timestamps of activity. Collected automatically when you use the service.
Third-Party Auth Data: When you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your email address and profile picture. When you link your Epic Games account, we receive your Epic display name and account ID.
We use your data to: provide and operate the Gravity Clips service; authenticate your identity and manage your account; display your content to other users (based on your visibility settings); moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines; detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and illegal activity; comply with legal obligations including COPPA, mandatory CSAM reporting to NCMEC, and NCII removal under the Take It Down Act; generate anonymous, aggregate analytics to improve the service.
All uploaded content (including content marked as private) may be scanned using automated tools for the purpose of detecting prohibited content such as CSAM, NCII, and other violations of our Community Guidelines. This scanning may involve extracting frames from video content and analyzing them using image classification technology. Flagged content is reviewed and may result in content removal, account suspension, and/or reports to law enforcement.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with: law enforcement agencies when required by law, subpoena, or court order; the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by 18 U.S.C. Section 2258A for mandatory CSAM reporting; service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, database, content delivery), bound by data processing agreements; other users, as part of the normal operation of the service (your public profile, public clips, chat messages to other participants).
Chat messages (match, community, DM): 30 days, then automatically deleted. Uploaded content (clips, videos): retained until deleted by you or removed by moderation. Account data: retained until you request account deletion. Moderation records (reports, audit logs): retained indefinitely for safety and legal compliance. Anonymous analytics data: retained indefinitely in aggregate form. Scan results: retained for 90 days or as required for legal proceedings.
Gravity Clips is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will immediately terminate their account and delete their personal data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created a Gravity Clips account, please contact us at support@gravityclips.com and we will take immediate action.
You may request: access to the personal data we hold about you; correction of inaccurate data; deletion of your account and personal data; a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@gravityclips.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that some data may be retained even after deletion for legal compliance, safety, or abuse prevention purposes (such as moderation records and CSAM reports).
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS); secure password hashing; CSRF protection; rate limiting; access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use essential cookies for: authentication (session tokens); CSRF protection; OAuth state management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates when this policy was last updated.
